About Great Bentley Carnival and Fete Association

Great Bentley’s annual Carnival and Fete is an integral part of village life, it has been in existence since 1975. The event brings together people from Great Bentley and the surrounding villages for a fun day. The local community pull together, providing support leading up to the event and on the day. This includes local businesses, farmers and residents.

The purpose of Great Bentley Carnival and Fete is to raise and provide much needed funds for our beneficiaries, who are village youth groups.

There is usually a theme each year chosen and agreed by committee members. The Carnival Procession gives the groups and organisations the opportunity to show off their creative skills in making costumes, and maybe dressing a float as well, whilst the fete provides an opportunity for local businesses and charities to promote their wares and services and visitors to enjoy something to eat and drink and be entertained by the arena acts.

Great Bentley Carnival and fete Association look forward to seeing you on the day. Look out for the team, we will be wearing red t-shirts.
