This year the competitive classes where a trophy for first place are awarded along with rosettes are as below:-

1. Best Visiting Carnival Court Float

2. Queen/King of Carnival Court

3. Decorated float/vehicle(with/without walkers who will be judged separately see  below)

4. Children’s Junior Walking Groups (i.e. Cubs, Beavers, Brownies & Rainbows)

5. Children’s/Youth Senior Walking Groups (i.e. Guides, Scouts & Explorers)

6. Fancy Dress – any age or numbers in entry

7. Majorettes

8. Visiting schools/floats/groups

 

There are also awards and rosettes for :-

a) Best overall entry in any category
b) The Liz Fryer-Kelsey Memorial trophy for the best entry by a registered charity
